چکیده

Functional mature cells are continually replenished by stem cells to maintain tissue homoeostasis. In the adultDrosophilaposteriormidgut, both terminally differentiated enterocyte (EC) and enteroendocrine (EE) cells are generated from an intestinal stem cell (ISC). However, it is not clear how the two differentiated cells are generated from the ISC. In this study, we found that only ECs are generated through the Su(H)GBE immature progenitor enteroblasts (EBs), whereas EEs are generated from ISCs through a distinct progenitor pre-EE by a novel lineage-tracing system. EEs can be generated from ISCs in threeways: an ISC becoming an EE, an ISC becoming a new ISC and an EE through asymmetric division, or an ISC becoming two EEs through symmetric division. We further identified that the transcriptional factor Prospero (Pros) regulates ISC commitment to EEs. Our data provide direct evidence that different differentiated cells are generated by different modes of stem cell lineage specification within the same

Design of Dynamic Detector for Atomicity Races in ARINC-653 Applications

This paper presents a dynamic detector, called Race-653 that locates atomicity races in ARINC-653 applications using an on-the-fly analysis technique. Race-653 consists of 653-Monitor and 653-Detector modules. The 653-Monitor collects monitored information during an execution of the applications, such as processes, semaphores, and accesses for each shared resource. The 653-Detector reports atom...

Pharmacological characterization of (3S)-3-(hydroxymethyl)-4-(5-methylpyridin-2-yl)-N-[6-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)pyridin-3-yl]-3,4-dihydro-2H-benzo[b][1,4]oxazine-8-carboxamide (JTS-653), a novel transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 antagonist.

Transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) activation in peripheral sensory nerve is known to be associated with various pain-related diseases, thus TRPV1 has been the focus as a target for drug discovery. In this study, we characterized the pharmacological profiles of (3S)-3-(hydroxymethyl)-4-(5-methylpyridin-2-yl)-N-[6-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)pyridin-3-yl]-3,4-dihydro-2H-benzo[b][1,4]oxa...
